The Perpetual Opposition

For the economy-aware Indian, the decision of the Central Government to disinvest 10% of BHEL (Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd) - the creme de la creme of Indian PSUs, came as a pleasant surprise. This marks the beginning of the process of minority stake sale in the profit making PSUs. No wonder, this news instantly made headlines. What also made headlines simultaneously is, the Left's Opposition over the cabinet decision.

Well, tell me something that's new !! Has it ever happened that the Left Parties have refrained from showing dissatisfaction over a progressive policy decision? May be comrades Karat, Surjeet, Yetchuri & Daspugta have collectively forgotten that they are not in the opposition anymore.

The media should change its attitude towards the left parties. May be it should make headlines, only when the left parties don't oppose a sound economic decision. Opposing everything under the sun has become kind of common place for them, hasn't it?
