Mind & Matter

Recently read in a friend's email signature:
"Mind over matter or matter over mind; it doesn't really matter if you don't mind".
At first glance it appears to be a good take on Descartes's The Philosophy of Duality (aka The Cartesian Paradigm). On a more serious note, it conveys the fact that once you don't mind, it will save you a lot of trouble. If you know the true worth of a good book (including holy scriptures), someone flushing the book down a toilet should certainly not ruffle you. Once you understand that the true value of your scripture (and religion) resides in your thinking, you will certainly not find the action of a few idiots demeaning to your religion.

Hope some day people will stop minding the trivial.
